Powerhouse Campus builds your school intranet by integrating the data from your school administration system or timetabling software into the database. csv importThe school datasets include teacher and student lists, linked parent / guardian data, class lists and co-curricular information.

The school data is integrated into the Powerhouse Campus database via the school IT administrator dashboard. Smaller schools can simply add users, classes and activities manually. Most schools export their school data as a CSV file and use the Powerhouse Installation wizard to import the data.

This is a simple process. Export your school data in Excel format and 'save as' CSV. For more details please download the Powerhouse Campus Technical Guide.

If your School Administration System offers an API or web service you may want to consider linking the systems to deliver real-time data.

Customised Teacher Widgets

The Powerhouse Campus Teacher Dashboard features Class Widgets functionality. The Class Widgets allows teachers to link to any web based application to extend their learning community. Teachers can add a widget to the class page to link to:

  • Your school video library - ClickView, YouTube channel, podcasts etc

Customised Class Widgets

In addition to the Teacher Widgets, Powerhouse Campus features Class widgets which are tagged to the menu items on the Class Pages.

The Class Widgets provide access to Class Calendar, Homework, Assignment Drop Box Class Web Links and Attendance.

The IT Administration Dashboard provides the tools to disable and enable all of the Class and Teacher Widgets to build a custom intranet for your school. The tools allow you to set a specific widget sets for different year levels.Widgets can also be personalised to meet the exact needs of the co-curricular activities in your school.
